Opening a SaveSmart Direct account
How do I open a SaveSmart Direct account?
Opening a SaveSmart Direct savings account is quick, easy, and convenient. Just click on “apply now” and complete our easy online enrollment. The only requirements are that you are at least 18 years old, have a valid tax identification number (social security number), and have an existing U.S. bank account, or credit card (Visa or Master Card) to fund your new account. If you still have questions, please call our Customer Service Team at 1-888-842-3456.
How do I initially fund my account?
SaveSmart Direct accounts can be initially funded either by an existing Bank of American Fork account, an account you may have at another financial institution, or a credit card (Visa or Master Card up to $100). After your account is approved you can fund your account with existing Bank of American Fork accounts through online banking or via wire transfer from other financial institutions you may work with. To initiate a wire you will need to provide the other institution your SaveSmart Direct account number (found in the top right corner of your Signature Card) and the Bank of American Fork's routing number (124301025). Please note that although the Bank of American Fork does not charge for wire transfers to and from SaveSmart Direct accounts, your other financial institutions may.
Is there a minimum amount required to open a SaveSmart Direct account?
