What Information We Collect

Example: History of checks written from your BAF deposit account.
- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency. Example: A credit report obtained with your permission on a credit card application.
- Information that we receive in response to requests we make to third parties about you or to confirm information that you have provided to us, particularly in the process of evaluating applications for loans. Example: Verification of employment.
- Information we may receive about you from our affiliates.
What Information We Disclose
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to nonaffiliated third parties except in certain circumstances and only as permitted by law. For instance, we may disclose nonpublic information about you to nonaffiliated third parties to assist us in servicing, processing, or maintaining your account with us. Examples include, but are not limited to, 1) sharing information with merchants who request verification of sufficient funds in your account to pay a specific check for your purchase of products or services, so that we may process that transaction and service your account on your behalf, 2) sharing information in response to subpoenas and 3) sharing information with credit bureaus.
We may disclose information that we have about you, such as your name and address, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements. We select these service providers carefully to make sure they share our privacy standards and they are provided with only the information they need to perform the service.
We may disclose information that we have about you, such as your name and address and account balances, to other members of our corporate family, such as the BAF Investment and Insurance Center, in order for them to determine what products they offer that would be of interest to you.
